When you schedule the interval when tasks run, you should take into account the number of changes made in your ILS against the total number of items to be indexed. A full index can take several minutes to several hours to run, depending on the size of your ILS database.
When running a full index, you and all other administrators should not make any changes to any Enterprise system settings. Making administrative changes while a task is running can cause conflicts or undesired results.
